The purpose of the presidents-elect training seminar (PETS) is to develop club presidents who have the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to lead an effective club. In addition to PETS, club presidents-elect receive additional training at the District Assembly.

Presidents-elect are encouraged to read the Club President's Manual and other materials before training so that they will arrive at PETS prepared to discuss their duties and goals for the coming year. Discussion questions from PETS have been provided so that presidents-elect will be able to reflect on their responses before training.
The Rotary International website has several useful documents for download.  It is highly recommended that club presidents-elect review all documents prior to PETS.

For your convenience, some of the component chapters of the Club President’s Manual are in separate documents.
·  Chapter 1: Roles and Responsibilities
·  Chapter 2: Goal Setting
·  Chapter 4: Club Administration
·  Chapter 5: Membership
·  Chapter 6:  Service Projects
·  Chapter 7: The Rotary Foundation
·  Chapter 8: Public Relations

There are also excellent PowerPoint presentations on the Rotary E-Leaning Center that you can view on-line or download.
